I use Alexa almost daily for even the simplest of things, but at the end of the day, she makes my life much easier so don’t hate. I hope you were able to grab Dot or an Echo on Prime Day but if not you can still shop for them here. And guess what? Alexa also helps when you’re shopping for a car. Once again, technology to the rescue.
Shopping for a new car can be a daunting task. It takes some effort, not to mention a lot of time. Even going through the “build your car” area of car websites can take lots of time away from your day. Once you narrow down your search, it’s time to go in for a test drive and let’s be honest, to hear the sales guy talk about the car, you miss more than half of what they’re saying.
So how exactly does Alexa help you buy a car?
If you’ve heard of “Alexa Skills” then you know that they add even more capabilities to your Alexa-enabled device. Once enabled, you can ask Alexa “launch This Day in History”, or “open Sleep Sounds”, or even book an appointment at a Kia dealership to test drive the Niro!
Yep. Want to make your car shopping experience easier and less time-consuming? Ask Alexa to enable the “Kia Niro Skill” then, from there, you can ask anything from pricing, MPG, color options, features and more! By the time you get to the dealership (with your preset appt made by Alexa), you might even know more than the sales person!
Kia is definitely ahead of the curve in the car industry, and now they are taking the lead and making use of new channels like voice commands to help consumers in their car buying journey.
Right now, Alexa will only tell you about the Niro but I’m hoping Kia will add their other vehicles as a voice option, soon. I’ll be sure to keep you updated if that happens.
