The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, birds are singing… unless you live in the North where I heard they’re still getting snow. SNOW! I can’t even imagine. In Florida, we’re ready to share our wonderful weather with you, especially at Disney Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
The festival at Epcot runs from March 1 – May 29th so it’s already in full swing and waiting for you. Immerse yourself in this springtime event filled with farm-to-table flavors, beautiful blooms, interactive playgrounds and rocking entertainment! Once you have your Flower and Garden Festival Passport you’re ready to make your way around the world showcase to discover the wonder for yourself.
There’s so much to do you’ll definitely need your Passport to navigate all to take in and enjoy. There is 20+ one-of-a-kind Disney topiaries to find around the park. These amazing living sculptures created by world-class horticulturists. Get up close to see the exquisite detail that brings these plants to life.
Don’t forget to head over to Norway where you’ll find none other than Anna and Elsa!
While you explore the wonderful topiaries, you definitely can’t miss the experience the offerings of this year’s Outdoor Kitchens. From the northern seas for fresh fish, to Canada, Morocco, and the United Kingdom there’s a little something for everyone. Then travel back for some tasty Florida Fresh eats like this amazing Key Lime Tart with Toasted Meringue and edible chocolate butterfly, and the Carne Asada with Black Bean Cake topped with Cilantro-Lime Sour Cream!
There are more than 25 specially designed gardens for your family to take in and immerse yourselves in. These colorful sights and floral aromas will take you away and make your trip to Epcot one to remember. My favorite had to be Butterflies on the Go. Float over to this happening habitat at Future World to get an up-close glimpse at several species of butterflies—they may even brush by your shoulder during the exciting walkthrough tour.
Garden Rocks Concert Series
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays have gotten a hint of the classics. Move your feet all while taking in the waterfront view from the spacious America Gardens Theatre outdoor venue. Throughout the 2017 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, you’re invited to soak up the sounds of over a dozen chart-topping musical acts, including a few new artists sprouting from the Garden Rocks stage for the very first time.
During our visit, we saw Little River Band front and center. It was a fun half an hour with some throwback classic hits. The guys had a great time and interacted with the crowd. Showtimes for the Garden Rocks Concert Series take place Friday through Monday at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM.
Upcoming guests include (but not limited to) Gin Blossoms, The Guess Who, and The Spinners. Check the Garden Rocks page for more guest listings.
There are many more events coming to Epcot that you won’t want to miss. The best way to visit everything is with an annual pass!
