It happens to the best households: the dreaded COLD! For weeks it seems like we’re passing a simple cold around. I sit back and pray that the next person doesn’t catch it but like clockwork, as soon as one is getting better someone else wakes up with a sore throat and it escalates quickly from there. It’s never just one special time that a cold makes its way into my house (when IS cold/flu season anyway?), it’s always. Between all the germs they decide to bring home from school (because of course, no one washes their hands) and the every day let’s-go-to-the-grocery-store-and-touch-EVERYTHING germs (even adults don’t wash their hands!), germs are everywhere and you definitely can’t avoid them. But what you can do is help prevent them from spreading (besides ya know… WASHING YOUR HANDS!!) with Kleenex Anti-Viral available at Walmart. This post is written by me on behalf of Geometry Global. All opinions are entirely my own. This shop has been compensated by Acorn Influence, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.
Oh yes, you can be a Cold Season Hero too with a simple change in your tissue buying game. Kleenex Anti-Viral works because of all this science-y stuff. I won’t get into it and bore you. Simply put – The active ingredients in the middle layer disrupt the viruses’ protective coating and kill 99.9% of cold and flu viruses* in the tissue within 15 minutes! Yes, my friends. It’s love.
So instead of running around wondering who is going to catch the sniffles and coughing next, I can now be ahead of the game and proactive for the most germ protection. As soon as you sense those cold symptoms coming on make sure you have Kleenex Anti-Viral on hand so the germs don’t spread to anyone else. Believe me, playing hot potato with the flu is NOT a fun game anyone should want to play.
Stop the Common Cold
We like to take the natural way to get over a cold as much as possible. There are times with medicine is necessary but letting your body work it out is what I think is best. Some other ways we get over the cold are realy simple:
Be Hydrated – Lots of fluids like water and hot teas to soothe a sore throat. I also put a humidifier in my kids rooms at night so keep the air nice and moist.
SLEEP – I know this one is hard as an adult but the more rest you have the faster you’ll get over your cold. And your kids definitely need rest too. This comes a bit easier than it does for me for some strange reason haha.
Vitamins – Stay on top of your vitamins, especially your intake of Vitamin C.
Exercise – I know, I know, you’re practially on your death bed so why would you want to work out, right? But I swear by it. When I can push past the sickness and work out I start to feel so much better, faster.
STOP THE SPREAD! – Again, catching those viruses and not allowing them to be in the air is the first step toward getting better. Grab some Kleenex Anti-Viral at your local Walmart superstore or online now so you’re prepared when the germs come… because they will come it’s just a matter of time.
*In the tissue in 15 minutes. Virucidal against: Rhinoviruses Type 1A and 2 (Rhinoviruses are the leading cause of the common cold); Influenza A and Influenza B (causes of the flu); Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV – the leading cause of lower respiratory infection in children).
