Who doesn’t love Legos? I know how our house is filled to the top with them and of course, it’s still not enough. They are such a fun toy to create and kids use their imagination while playing. I was so excited when LEGOLAND came to central Florida a few years ago and it’s been a love affair for our family ever since. When we moved in October we actually moved closer to LEGOLAND so it’s been great going on our free days.
There’s a really cool partnership between LEGOLAND, Walmart, Coca-Cola, and Toys for Tots going on where you can give back to a child AND entertain your family! Now through December 31st, 2016, kids go FREE to LEGOLAND, Florida. Visit a participating Central Florida Walmart store, purchase a toy valued at $5 or more, then donate the unwrapped toy outside the theme park ticket windows and purchase an adult ticket at the same time (don’t forget your receipt!). I was asked to talk about this promotion so we received compensation in return but yes, all opinions are my own and we donated our own toy.
I cannot stand the thought of a child waking up on Christmas morning without a toy so I knew I had to do something about it. The donated toys will benefit kids in Florida’s Polk County, home of LEGOLAND Florida Resort, through the Toys for Tots program. In return, your family gets a free child’s ticket (normally $84!) to a park you were already going to visit anyway. This is a great opportunity for you to talk to your kids about the importance of giving back then you can let them drop the toy into the donation bin.
At the participating Walmart locations, there will be clearly marked promotional signs to help you out. It’s any $5 or more toy. We picked a Littlest Pet Shop Pet Shop house. My kids love playing with theirs so they thought it would be nice for another child to have the same thing.
After you grab your toy, head over to the beverage aisle to stock up on Coca-Cola products for your upcoming holiday parties/dinner.
LEGOLAND Florida has so much to do for the entire family, you cannot pass up this fun theme park. Have little ones? No worries, LEGOLAND Florida has DuploValley complete with a Barn theme indoor playground, slow train ride, tractor rides around animals, and a tot-sized splash pad.
