Just got over Thanksgiving shopping madness but now it’s time to plan Christmas dinner. I’m so over shopping with 3 kids, though. I always leave the store without 1-2 items I came for, and of course, they are the items I need the most. It literally never fails and either dinner is ruined because I don’t want to drag everyone back inside or I have to come back the next day which is just irritating. Shopping for an important meal like Christmas requires a lot more planning than our nightly meal too so what’s a girl to do.
I know, here me complain, right? But it’s the daily struggle of a busy mom of 3 (4 if you count my husband) with 7 animals to care for and way too much on her plate. My Walmart just came to my rescue when they started offering one of the best things on the planet – online grocery shopping!
For real, if you haven’t tried it, you must! Avoid the stress, avoid forgetting items. Just relax, sit back and then let your Personal Shopper do all the work. Here is why I absolutely love Walmart Online Grocery Shopping, especially during the holidays.
Walmart Online Grocery Shopping
You Get To Shop Online:
Shopping in your PJs? Yes, please! Using Walmart Online Grocery Shopping is the same as any other online store. Search items by category or even by name then add them to your cart. You’ll be able to see exactly what items are available in your store and which are not. Walmart is a huge store so I know sometimes I cannot find a specific brand when I’m looking at the shelf. Let your Personal Shopper worry about that. You tell them what you want and they spend the time looking for it.
Order Produce? YEP!:
That sounds scary, right? But for real, do not worry. Your Personal Shopper won’t just throw you the first thing they can get their hands on. He or she will take care in picking you exactly what they’d eat themselves. You are guaranteed fresh produce and dairy or your money back. This peace of mind alone is worth it. I ordered tomatoes, bananas, apples, berries, and onions. They all came perfect and to my standard.
And just for Christmas, Walmart Online Grocery Shopping now offers kitchen gadget, food prep items, table settings and decor, and they’ve even helped categorized the typical foods you’d serve at a Christmas dinner. Just hover over “Shop by department” tab, then down to “Christmas”, then a pop-up of the 9-10 sub-categories comes up for you to chose from. They’ve really thought of everything and all you have to do is a few simple clicks of your mouse.
On A Budget?
I think we’re all on a budget and shopping in store sometimes makes that difficult. I know there have been times where I’ve pulled out my phone and had to add up the price of each item. No shame. Times get hard, I get it. Using Walmart Online Grocery Shopping saves you the worry or hassel. As you add items you can see your total. Add too many things? Just “remove” the item and find something else. No more overspending or asking the cashier to take something off of your bill.
Door to Door service
So you’ve shopped in your PJs at home but now you have to change so you can look somewhat decent in the store. What am I talking about, no you don’t! Leave those PJs on. Once you’re ready to order, pick a time that works for YOU! Then show up to your spot and wait for your Personal Shopper to bring your groceries out to you and load your car. You do not ever need to leave the driver seat. It’s incredible. My Personal Shopper actually answered the phone from another customer informing her they were on their way, while taking care of me. Multi-tasking at its finest!
Pay For What You Get
Sometimes things change and a store becomes out of stock by the time you arrive. Don’t worry. Your card isn’t charged until you pick up your order and sign. In your online shipping cart you can choose for them to substitute for a different or cheaper brand or you can unclick that. I can be a brand snob so I unclicked the “substitute” box for a few things. One other thing I made sure I didn’t want them substituting was my fresh herbs. When I picked up my order she told me they didn’t have fresh basil and couldn’t substitute it with basil in the spice aisle since I didn’t click the box. I was making caprese sandwiches so I really needed fresh, so she took that off my list and I wasn’t charged for the basil. Easy and simple.
Get time back in your life… thank me later. 😉
