It’s the season for all things Christmas here in Central Florida. When you plan your vacation in Orlando around the holidays you have a lot of options. One park that cannot be passed up is definitely SeaWorld Orlando. The park is filled with fun throughout the year but it becomes even more special during Christmastime, in my opinion.
You’ll experience waves of Christmas spirit, a sea of trees, and more twinkling lights than you could ever count.
On select nights between Nov. 25 to Dec. 31, 2016, family and friends can create yuletide memories as SeaWorld Orlando celebrates the holidays with SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration. Included with regular park admission, get ready to make some new holiday traditions with delicious food, stunning live shows, and joyous entertainment.
New this year, meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends at Rudolph’s ChristmasTown! Hang out with Rudolph, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius, and even the Abominable Snow Monster (aka Bumble) from the classic family Christmas television special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. There are even life-size storybook vignettes showcasing the classic Rudolph story from beginning to end!
SeaWorld brought back it’s amazing Sea of Trees this year and I could not have been any happier to see it. I swear on everything this light show brings tears to my eyes every single year. With more than 100 Christmas trees (with over 159,000 LED lights) sparkling to music and lighting up the water you can position yourself anywhere near SeaWorld’s lagoon and still get a good view. The best viewing areas are along the waterfront near Spice Mill Café or inside Bayside Stadium if you ask me. For less crowded viewing, wander over to the Christmas Market to see the show. New this year is a glistening Christmas tree towering 70-feet above the water.
There’s also many other experiences returning this year. These holiday shows are already included with regular admission.
Returning favorites include:
Shamu Christmas Miracles
Winter Wonderland on Ice
Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas
O Wondrous Night
Elmo’s Christmas Wish with Sesame Street friends
The Sea of Trees isn’t the only place to see amazing decorations and beautifully lit Christmas trees. There are even more trees and fabulous decorations all around the park. Do not forget to stop in Antarctica to see the gigantic tree smack dab in the center of the action. Against the backdrop of the Northern Lights, it is absolutely breathtaking. Once inside Wild Arctic, that’s also where you’ll meet Santa so don’t forget those Wish Lists. You can also find him (and Mrs. Claus) at Santa’s Fireside Feast. That is an additional cost but includes an all-you-can-eat buffet and family photo.
You will not be disappointed at SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration with all-new festivities and returning favorites sure to inspire traditions for years to come.
SeaWorld Christmas Celebration takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 25 through December 11 and then run daily December 16 through 31.
