A big MUST HAVE you probably see on wish lists this year is Disney Infinity 3.0. Disney has still managed to surprise and excite game players even three years later in the toy-to-life game.
The biggest draw of 3.0 is that, of course, it’s Star Wars themed. You are literally thrown into the world of Sith Lords and Jedi Knights as you battle for power!
To get started, you’ll want to first purchase the 3.0 Starter Pack. Do not get this confused with the Toy Box Starter Pack. Two very different things so make sure you get the box that looks like the photo above.
What You Get:
- 1 Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Video Game (Unlocks Play Set and Toy Box Modes)
- 1 Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Base
- 2 Star Wars Figures: Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker
- 1 Star Wars Twilight of the Republic Play Set Piece
- 1 Web Code Card
You have the ability to play the campaign missions or hop right into Toy Box where you can create your own world!
Other Star Wars packs you can purchase are Star Wars The Force Awakens: Play Set and Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire Play Set. Each set gives you two characters and another Play Piece (campaign world).
Play as the tiny hero Spot with “The Good Dinosaur” power disc pack, which features caveboy Spot’s newfound friend, Arlo the Apatosaurus, along with a trio of T-Rexes — Nash, Butch, and Ramsey.
If you haven’t heard by now, The Good Dinosaur is Disney•Pixar’s newest film. The Nov. 25 premiere of the animated film is about a young Apatosaurus and the feral human boy he befriends. With this early release, you can really get to know the characters and their personalities before the film comes out. Kelsey Mann, a story supervisor at Pixar, worked very closely with the Disney Infinity team to make sure the cinematic version in-game was on par with the film and it definitely is, in my opinion.
So what exactly are Power Discs? They expand your game in Toy Box. Place the Power disc on the Disney Infinity Base to power-up character abilities, customize your Toy Box, or unlock new gadgets, costumes, and team attacks.
My kids have had so much fun getting to know the different characters and The Good Dinosaur world. It has definitely made them more excited for the film’s release.
