Disclosure: This is a sponsored campaign with Mums The Word Network and React Mobile. All opinions are mine, unless noted otherwise.
I may be overreacting but when I’m out alone I always try to be aware of my surroundings, especially at night. I have this irrational fear of someone abducting me. When React Mobile asked me to download their app I read into what it was then quickly downloaded it.
What Is React Mobile?
React Mobile is a free app that helps turn your smartphone into a much needed lifeline in scary situations. Once downloaded you add the certain contacts from your phone that you want (husband, parents, best friend, ect) to have access to your location. The app has a “Follow Me” feature that lets those contacts track your whereabouts in real-time whenever you’re concerned for your safety.
Going on a trip? Once you reach your destination simply touch the “I’m Safe” button to let your contacts know you arrived safely. In an emergency you press the SOS shield on the app to send out a panic alert which then sends a text message and email with your GPS location to your contacts. Additionally, you’ll be promoted to dial 911 if you’re North America. If you live outside of the USA or are traveling over seas you can put your location into the React Mobile settings tab so once the SOS alert is activated it will prompt you with the appropriate emergency authority number (example: For the UK you will be told to dial 112/999 NOT 911).
