World Market’s new Fall collection – Maison Des Artistes, Urban Dwelling and Glasgow Fog – inspired me to do a virtual makeover for a room of my home.
My living room. It totally needs it. Since we moved it has stayed… plain. Plain is the best way to put it since we have 1 picture on the wall, all 400+ DVDs on stacked on the floor in a corner. Just a sofa, TV stand and TV. That’s it. Oh and my printer is also now consistently in the living room because my desktop computer died so I am working on my laptop now. I work where my kids are (to be near them) and that’s usually in the living room.
With $5,000 from World Market I would totally dress up our living room to the space I would love to lounge in and be proud of.
- Mushroom Velvet Kendall Sofa
- M Letter Bookend
- Owen “Mail” Letter Holder
- Tall Decorative Ladder
- Francine Table
- Fig and Coconut Stripe Lumbar Pillow
I love the look of the Mushroom Velvet Kendall Sofa not to mention it has my daughter’s name in there so it makes me love it even more. The gorgeous M Letter Bookend wouldn’t be used as a bookend in my living room. It would be used as a piece to show off our last name and I’d probably end up putting in in between DVDs that I finally get off the floor.
The third item on my list is Owen “Mail” Letter Holder so we can stop piling up mail on the counter. I follow that with what I would use as DVD racks. My husband won’t let me get rid of them even though I cannot stand the look of clutter so I might as well put them on a couple Tall Decorative Ladder stands from the Urban Dwellings Collection.
What I didn’t add to the collage above is the The Aberdeen Darby Chair. It’s so full of color that I was instantly drawn to it. It would definitely pop next to the beige sofa. It by far as to be my favorite piece from the Glasgow Fog Collection.
That’s my living room makeover. What room would you makeover? Now remember, head over and enter to win $5K so you can actually makeover a room in your place, not just virtually like me 🙂
