I would be lying to you if I said I wasn’t a Gymboree fanatic. I seriously got a job there in 2007 just for the discount but after being promoted to a manager I was pretty much there to stay, at least for a while. At that time Makenna was 2.5 years old and I LOVED putting her in almost every single new line that came out. I was a crazy shopper and I don’t remember ever seeing my paychecks because I was too busy spending it in the store.
Even though I don’t work there anymore I still have love for Gymboree and shop there all that time.
It’s getting warmer here in Florida though (yes, it actually did get cold) so I was excited to get some spring outfits for Kendall and Gymboree helped me out with that.
Going into my local Gymboree store is always a bit crazy and stressful to be honest because there is just too much I love and I want to get it out. I know, such a hard thing to be stressed over, right?
After shopping at the retail Gymboree store I decided I would look over at the Outlet store where I also scored some great outfits.
When I saw this Stylish Kitty Dot Dress in 5T from the Baby Girl Tea Time Afternoon Collection (peep tow heel shoes are not Gymboree) I just knew it was Kendall. From the pink, to the fact it’s a dress, and lastly it has a kitty on it which she just adores to the end of the earth. I love all the pretty girly details Gymboree has put into the dress like the smocking and ruffles on the bodice and of course the sweet fluttered sleeves. It’s just too perfect. The dress is a tad big as it’s suppose to hit knee length but Kendall’s knees are about where the kitty’s head is. I did get a 5T (she usually wears a 4T) on purpose as to have room to grow.
And what you can’t see from the above picture is the adorable Kitty Hair Clip. It’s a plastic hair clip that features multicolor embroidered detail.
Her next outfit is actually from the new spring line from Gymboree Outlet called Bright Tulip. I love shopping the outlet for Gymboree because you get great deals on last year’s modified lines. It’s totally a win-win.
With Gymboree (even if it’s outlet clothes) we know we are getting great quality clothes that can be passed down. With Makenna’s old Gymboree clothes I never experienced shrinkage and now 5 years later I still don’t have any shrink problems.
Another Gymboree Outlet score from their spring line is Butterfly Blossoms. Another one of Kendall’s loves are “fly flys” so with all the butterflies in this outfit it was a must that I purchase it. In true Gymboree style they also had matching Butterfly hair clips but they were alligator style clips and those always fall out of Kendall’s thin hair so we went with the ever so popular Curlies/
Yes, if you aren’t familiar with Gymboree, each collection has a name. This makes it easier to track down when you just HAVE to have a piece later on when the collection is not in stores anymore. This isn’t really why Gymboree does it but it’s definitely cute. My spouse gets a little annoyed when I ask him to get me the “Bright Tulips green tunic frog shirt” instead of “green frog shirt”. I have a tendency of always using the collection names when I talk about them.
As you see, 600 words later, I am a huge Gymboree fan. I want to share my love of this brand with you so how does a $75 Gymboree gift card sound?
