Easy Appetizer – Buffalo Wings

The “Big Game” was just a few weeks ago and well, in this house we didn’t do much of anything. See, the New York Giants forgot how to play one particular game and that pretty much shut us out. *tears* But not having your favorite team play is no excuse not to eat all the foods you don’t eat on a daily basis, and still watch the game, right?

I made my husband’s favorite food – buffalo wings. I swear he thinks they are their own food group, or at least wishes they were.

What makes these extra special is because… you guessed it: easy clean-up! Are you sensing a theme with all my posts yet (Mini Pizzas, Baked Ravioli). I’m sorry but once I became a mom I started to live for easy clean-up products and I love that each and every one of the Reynolds Wrap® products help me do just that.

With these sticky Buffalo Wings it’s not just the clean-up that I love, it’s also the prep. I use Slow Cooker Liners and then just throw all the ingredients in and let it go for 6-8hrs (on low) or 3-4hrs (on high) and poof, these babies practically made themselves with no help from me.

So how do I make the wings? Well, line your slow cooker with a Slow Cooker Liner bag making sure one of the bag hangs over the side so once the sauces are added the bag doesn’t fall inside. Place your chicken drumsticks right into the bag (about 16 or 4lbs). In a medium size bowl: combine a 16oz bottle of hot wing sauce, 1/4 cup tomato paste, 2 Tbls vinegar, and and 2 Tbls Worcestershire sauce. Pour over chicken in cooker.

Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 4 hours. Serve with some good ol’ Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing and you have an appetizer that your whole crew will gobble up before the game even starts.

And can I touch on the clean-up again? All you have to do is lift the bag out of the slow cooker and you’re done! See? Simple. I would suggest washing with warm soapy water but of course you don’t have to soak your slow cooker and scrub it clean and that’s the best part.
