Save Your Valentines Day Weekend Sell The Xbox

(This is a guest post)

Just when you both thought your wallets could breathe a sigh of relief after the Christmas spending-spree, the next big (expensive) event on everyone’s calendar is the most romantic day of the year – Valentine’s Day. The official day to show your favorite person in your life exactly how much you care, and can afford!

No matter how much you love them, and surely they tell you so regularly too, this is the one day of the year when it is just not acceptable for them to show their affection for you without a Valentine’s token. What form this will take will no doubt depend on their available funds. It could just mean a card, or some chocolates or flowers. What about if you expect a gift, or want them to take you out for dinner, or even arranging a whole ‘romantic’ weekend away, with maybe getting to see a show, or visiting a spa, and everything else that goes with it? These all involve one crucial thing – money. A bit of a problem if this is something that you are both currently in short supply.

Remember, Valentine’s is only a few days away, so if you both want to do something really special to show each other how much they mean to you, like going away together for the weekend, and need the extra funds to achieve this, then here is a genius 3 word solution: Sell Xbox 360.

Nothing will show their devotion and dedication to you more than selling their old console. Think about it, how many times have you complained about the amount of time they spend playing on the Xbox, rather than spending time with you? The cash earned from this selfless sacrifice will ensure that you both enjoy a Valentine’s Day even more special than last year. It’ll certainly be a day to remember!

It’ll also be a gift that keeps on giving, as you both can then dedicate more time to each other too. In fact, tell them that this would make you so happy if they did this for you, you can’t wait to buy them the latest brand new Xbox! So they would have ditched their old console for extra cash for a Valentines treat for you both to enjoy, and possibly got a new console into the bargain. How’s that for a win-win situation!

Disclosure: This is a partnered post. I could ever sell our Xbox 360 because my husband and I enjoy playing games together but hey, maybe you can sell yours.

  9. When I found out I was pregnant my fiancee sold his then-brand-new Playstation 3 because he wanted to use the money for a nursery- even though he totally didn’t need to sell it to afford it. It was a gesture of love & super appreciated.
