My two daughters have no idea what the words “sleeping in” mean. Weekends? Nope, they are both up at their usually 7:05-7:15am time. I am tired.

Like most moms I get my pick me up from coffee. I am a frequent visitor of Starbucks but that’s when I’m out running errands. In the mornings I break out my Keurig and use the Starbucks K-Cups. My husband and I love them but sometimes a change is good so I went out for some good ol’ drip coffee.

On Thursday I had both girls at home with me because we were leaving for a little mini vacation to celebrate my uncle’s surprise 60th birthday party. I knew that morning was going to be hectic so the night before I ran to Walmart to see if I could find something that would be yummy and quick and easy breakfast meal.

I ended up seeing this Delicious Pairings sign in the Bakery section and it was calling my name. Dark French Roast (and I grabbed some Blonde roast too) and The Bakery at Walmart Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls. I swear I thought I was in heaven and I never wanted to leave. The last box of cinnamon rolls didn’t have icing on them (and who can have a cinnamon roll without icing?!) so I asked the nice ladies at the bakery counter and she gladly added a generous amount.

I hurried home, packed all our stuff just in time to watch American Idol.

Thursday morning it was all about our The Bakery at Walmart Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls and my Starbucks Dark French Roast. My girls loved the “treat” I gave them for breakfast.

As I said, I usually use the K-Cups but for a change I decided to break out the regular coffee machine and use grounds. I loved the instant aroma I got from opening up the bag of coffee. The Dark French roast is very intense and smoky. It definitely gave me a great kick to my day and I was ready for the 10+ hour car ride I had ahead of me.

I forgot how great it is to use regular coffee grounds so I’ll definitely be purchasing the Starbucks coffee more often and of course I won’t be forgetting the Walmart Cinnamon Rolls.

    I have a refillable k-cup that I use coffee grinds in. You should check it out on Amazon- you can fill up the kcup with your own grinds and use your keurig!

      That’s what this post was about – regular old school drip coffee. I barely use my regular coffee machine so using it was a nice change.
