Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please visit Amazon.com to get your own copy of Far Cry 3, today’s Gold Box Deal of the Day! I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. All opinions are my own.

Recently, I was talking with a friend about “how I do it” meaning, how I blog AND be a mom. I L.O.V.E. my job but let’s face it, I’m around a toddler all day and sometime I have both girls with me on the weekends or Teacher Work Days, holidays, ect. It can get pretty exhausting and down right hard.

To be honest, I’m not exactly sure how I balance my work life and home life but it just happens. Over the course of the past few years I think I just got into this groove that works.

But I still need my mommy time and wife time. My husband really enjoys video games and although I was never a big gamer, I actually began to like a lot of games once I sat down to play them with my husband.

At the end of the night, when the girls are asleep, my husband and I like to curl up next to each other… and play a good video game! Even though we are screaming at the TV there is something so relaxing about playing a good game. Of course I’m also spending time with my husband and being involved in something he enjoys so it’s a good night.

I was excited when I heard about today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal because it’s a game my husband cannot stop talking about: Far Cry 3!

He hasn’t played the other Far Cry games but as soon as Far Cry 3 came out we rented it on RedBox and ended up keeping it out for WAY too long. We’ve returned it but now the hubby is talking about buying it because of course he just has to beat the game.

It’s a pretty fun game but there is nudity and adult language in it so my advice is to only play it when the kids are asleep.

Far Cry 3 is on sale for TODAY ONLY for $34 so hurry and get it before the deal ends! BUT WAIT! You can WIN a Copy just by RT this on Twitter: Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day: Far Cry 3! To buy: http://clvr.li/FC3Gold - RT to enter to win a copy! #FarCryGold

Disclosure: I was provided a copy of this game in exchange for posting about the deal from Ubisoft and Clevergirls. All opinions are 100% my own.

Lol. My outlook on them didn’t change overnight and believe me, my husband can get really annoying when he’s cursing at the tv (when he plays certain games).

Throughout the game, there are numerous outposts and radio towers that you’re encouraged to capture. These serve as perfect training grounds for the main missions – which, crucially, have a very different feel – something not achieved in Far Cry 2.

  28. Sounds like a game my hubby would really like. Normally when he plays video games I blog, or search through Pinterest.

  29. I think I would need to just leave the house alone for a truly relaxing time! HAHA!

My husband loves his video games too. I give you credit for sitting down and attempting to play with him.. I could never do it. Even though it IS something that may make him happy, I just can’t force myself to do it.. And you know, I may even like it if I took the time to try, but taking the time is the hard part.

  35. I’m not a big video gamer, but it sounds fun!

  36. Relax? Games? I’ve given up on those since Gus if 4 months and Sweet T is 2 1/2. Hopefully one day though! Have fun gaming.

  39. Sounds like a cool game!
