Hand Wash VS Dishwasher #CascadeComplete

The Holidays are over and while some of us are still recovering I begin to think of next year and how I’m going to get through them again. I think of the smiles, the laughter, the wrapping paper, the turkey, the family… I also think of the dishes. Wow. Lots and lots of dishes get used and washed during the holidays but what is the best way to wash them?

To tell you the truth on a daily basis I hand wash all the dishes. It’s quicker and really, I can make sure the dishes are clean the first time. I use to use the dish washer but having to pre-rinse them before, then after the dishwasher cycle they still weren’t clean so I found myself washing them again. It was a hassle.

I was asked by Cascade to try their Cascade Complete Pacs and yes, I was a little skeptical. Could such a little packet tackle a big job of Christmas dinner?

I threw in the sponge and let the dishwasher do its job. Well, at least that’s what I hope it would do. I just popped one of these small Cascade Complete Pacs in the detergent compartment and with a full load of messy dishes with remaining gravy, cranberry sauce, ketchup (Kendall can’t live without it), and the worst stuck on the bottom of the pan Turkey bits. I crossed my fingers and let the pac go to work.

See, I use Dawn anyway so I glad to see that the grease fighting ingredients I loved were now in Cascade Complete. Plus, I love the bright colors so it makes me want to use to cute little pacs almost for that reason alone. I also love that I didn’t have to measure, deal with the strong smell of other liquid or power dishwasher soaps, or clean up the mess I always spill outside of the soap compartment.

The result? Of course sparkling clean dishes. Even the turkey pan! I was so amazed of how squeaky clean even the glasses were and better yet, I didn’t have to wash anything else!
