I’m a Pull-Ups “First Flush” Ambassador! Potty Training Here We Come!

We’re starting a new adventure in this house. Well, we’ve “started” by boarding the Potty Train months ago but the train has never left the station for more than a couple visits to #2 town.

Now I’m serious though. I love my cloth diapers but they just aren’t working for us in the potty training department. I’m ready for Kendall to be out of diapers. She’s 29 months old and I feel like she’s completely ready to be a big girl.

Potty training (even though I’ve already done is once) still makes me nervous and something I am really not excited about. Thankfully Pull-Ups has a page to help me with all my questions, as silly as they may be sometimes. You can find that page on the Pull-Ups website.

My Strategy

I don’t really have a set strategy in mind right now. I just want to make sure Kendall is comfortable and she feels like she is in charge. I know that pressuring her to always go can push her away from the potty. I am happy that I did find a potty that she likes (linked below). She was scared to sit on the other 2-3 chairs we bought for her. I think the simplicity of the Loo is what she likes.

Let The Fun Begin!

I’ll be hosting a Pull-Ups “Why Wait – Let’s Celebrate! First Flush Party” next month so I can’t wait to get together with some friends and their kids, party it up and celebrate our kids awesome milestone. Hopefully I can update you all with some amazing news with Pull-Ups helping our babies becoming big girls and big boys.

If you have a child that is ready to be potty trained you can host your own “First Flush” party too. You have to apply via the application on the Pull-Ups Facebook page. Sign ups are only available through the end of December, so make sure you get your application in ASAP!

You can find out more about potty training by visiting Pull-Ups and connecting with them on Facebook and Twitter.

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to host a party. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

One of the many obstacles of parenting that I am glad to be done with!! It took our youngest a little longer than the oldest but it still wasn’t horrible, could have been worse. Good luck and know that there is an end, it may not be in sight but its there!

My oldest took a long time too even though I was more on top of her about it. This time, maybe if I take it slow my youngest will catch on quicker?
But you’re so right. It doesn’t look like the end is in sight but I know it’s there and hopefully we reach it quickly.

  26. Good luck! And remember to be patient and consistent.

  27. we’ll tackle this together! :) Good luck!
