SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular 2012

One of our family’s favorite Halloween events to attend is SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular. A fun “under water” adventure the whole family can enjoy during the day since it’s included in regular park admission. Each year is a little different but you can always expect the fun, treats and amazing sea creatures.

With my superhero and peacock we entered the Undersea Fantasea Path Entry and we were instantly in a whole new world filled with carnival-style games, Trick-or-Treat stations, Halloween character meet-and-greets, caricatures & face painting, treat making, and Spooktacular merchandise.

Kids (and parents) are invited to dress up and go trick-or-treating. Upon entering the Undersea Fantasea Path Entry everyone in the family is given a very sturdy treat bag (I loved the improved candy bags this year. Yes, I noticed SeaWorld and I greatly appreciate the change) then you walk from candy station, to candy station collecting Junior Mints, Black Forrest Gummy Bears, Twizzlers, and so much more! In the 8 day event SeaWorld will give away over 1 million pieces of candy!! I think I hear the dentist’s calling, lol.

You won’t see any spooky, scary creatures at Spooktacular so it’s really geared towards kids of all ages. How about a “Cat” Fish!! I cannot stand the cute.

Smack dab in the middle of the Undersea Fantasea Path Entry is Penelope’s Party Zone. This was a great rest spot, where kids could dance, color, and relax with a drink and snack. They had stories, line-dancing, and apple or Rice Krispy treat decorating station. These aren’t your ordinary Rice Krispy treats though – they are huge! Kendall decorated her chocolate topped Rice Krispy treat with candy corn and Reese’s Pieces. Makenna chose to decorate a caramel apple. (There is an additional cost for Apple or Rice Crispy Decorating.)

It was so hot and humid that the caramel was instantly melting right off as you can see in Makenna’s picture :( It was delicious nonetheless.

You can also enhance your day by counting with Count at breakfast, sleeping over at SeaWorld, or getting a fun family behind the scenes tour.

In Central Florida there are a lot of choices for you and your family but I really think you should check out SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular if you do just one thing. SeaWorld really outdoes themselves with the fun and all the events.

With all the fun of the Spooktacular don’t forget to check out SeaWorld’s newest attraction, TurtleTrek. It is the world’s first 3D 360 Dome Theater Experience. You get to see real sea turtles before the show and then you practically feel like a new hatchling in the dome with your 3D glasses on. Plus, it’s nice and air-conditioned so it’s a great resting spot.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular happens every weekend in October. Which is October 6-7th, 13-14th (today and tomorrow), 19-21st, and 26-28th. Only 3 more weeks to attend so hurry and buy your tickets now!

Disclosure: SeaWorld provided us with park admission at no cost to us. No monetary compensation was given to me. All opinions are my very own and your theme park experience may differ.
