Relax at the Reflections Spa-Salon at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

A few weeks ago I was invited to enjoy a day of pampering. No, I don’t mean I was invited to sleep in all day. I was invited to enjoy a mom’s only day of bliss at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Reflections Spa-Salon. The name is a mouthful but man, was it amazing there.

The hotel resort sits just 5 miles from Disney World, two outlet malls (Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores which is on site and Premium Outlets-Vineland!) so you always have something to do. But why leave the resort when you are staying in a two, three, or four bedroom suite with over-sized jacuzzi tubs, private balconies, and a pool that looks like this!

The spectacular, zero-entry pool features a 61 foot long Pirate Shipwreck complete with shooting water cannons, a water slide, plus, Jacuzzi-style hot tubs, tumbling waterfalls, poolside loungers and hammocks. The whole family will enjoy this fabulous pool… while you’re off enjoying the spa, of course!

But back to my day. Reflections Spa-Salon is located on the sixth floor of the hotel. As soon as the elevator doors open you are in another world with 10 treatment rooms, one hydrotherapy tub room, sauna room, private relaxation rooms, two deluxe couples treatment rooms, as well as 42 other salon services.

Upon check-in I was escorted to an extra large dressing room with lockers, showers, and sauna room where I was asked to change into a soft microfiber lined robe and soft slippers. From there, I was guided to a dimly-lit and beautifully designed waiting area with ultra comfy lounge style chairs that lined the wall and lemon infused water, hot tea, warm coffee were waiting.

My first treatment was a Classic Pedicure and let me tell you; this was no ordinary pedicure. Michael soaked my feet and followed that by the most amazing polish job (using only OPI nail polish of course) I’ve ever had. Three weeks later and my polish has yet to chip even the tiniest bit! That is amazing since I am use to polish chipping sometimes the next day. Upon looking at the on-site menu I did see that the Classic Pedicure costs more than the price I usually pay but seeing as how my polish and feet are still perfect – I would definitely pay the extra cost for a better outcome.

After some lunch, I was greeted by Colleen who took me to the treatment room where I would receive my Paradise Sugar Glow body treatment. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I have never received a body treatment, let alone rubbed sugar on my body. I was instantly relaxed with the smell from the warm milk from a coconut is gently massaged into the skin followed by an application of pure brown sugar cane and tropical nut oils ridding the body of dead skin. The Paradise Sugar Glow helps with skin elasticity and replenishing moisture loss. I was told to wear sun screen for the next few days because the new skin is so sensitive and can burn extremely easy.

To tell you my skin left like a baby’s bottom is an understatement. If there is something softer than new baby skin please let me know because that is how soft my skin was. Featuring Pure Figi products, Reflections Spa-Salon is only one of two Orlando spas to use a sugar scrub that dissolves into the body to moisture instead of being rinsed away.

Next up was a Hydrating Island Bath, one of Reflections signature treatments! Pure coconut milk from Fiji will hydrate, soothe and relax your body and mind. I don’t know when I last enjoyed a bath without hearing knocking on the door every 2 minutes or hearing the sound of the girls screaming and playing in the background. Today I made sure to soak in every last second I was allowed to spend in the bath (which was more like a personal pool because it’s big enough for two!).

With so many treatments on the spa menu it’s hard to just pick a couple to do in one day. That’s the great thing about Reflections Spa-Salon; you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy everything they have to offer! Anyone is welcome to come in or make an appointment!

A sanctuary bathed in iridescent hues, Reflections Spa-Salon, is a haven of serenity and natural beauty for those seeking to relax, restore, and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. Like I said, offering more than 42 spa treatments including soothing facials, massages, wraps based on traditional and contemporary relaxation techniques, as well as a hydrating island bath that overlooks a tropical fish tank and lush outdoor landscape! If all this sounds too good to be true than you definitely have not taken a visit to this hidden gem.

If your little Princess wants to come along with Mommy she is more than welcome because Reflections Spa-Salon also offers little girls a Princess Moment treatment! They will get a pre-park treatment complete with an up-do with Rhinestone Tiara, make-up, glitter, and red cheeks. A mini-mani and mini-pedi tops off this full princess pampering before meeting Cinderella, Belle, or any of the other amazing Disney princess’ that await at the Disney parks!

Reflections Spa-Salon is located at 8113 Resort Village Drive Orlando, Florida 32821 and can be reached toll-free at 1.866.401.2699 or locally at 407.597.1695.

Disclosure: I was invited to Reflections Spa-Salon to enjoy the above mentioned spa treatments. No other monetary compensation was received. All opinions are my very own.
