Painting with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda!

Summer has ended in our house. Makenna went back to school last week (I’m not celebrating or anything) but previous to that day I heard the words, “I’m so bored” more times than I need to count.

For an afternoon of fun all you need is the following:

  • 2-4 plastic shoe containers
  • 4 travel size bottles (make sure it has the squeeze top opening)
  • a couple of boxes of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
  • liquid (not gel) food coloring
  • vinegar

First fill each bottle with vinegar and add a couple drops of food coloring in each bottle.

Next, divide the baking soda into the plastic shoe boxes (I bought a set of 5). I used one box per bin.

And let the fun begin!

After a while of “painting” and mixing my girls got crazy and then it turned into some sorta of Moon Sand mixture.

Kendall doesn’t like to get dirty so she didn’t play in it but Makenna loved it.
