Mad Dog Gear backpack by Coleman – Review and Giveaway
With back to school time quickly arriving Coleman (The outdoor company) asked me to promote their new line of backpacks called MadDog Gear.
Now that Makenna will be entering 2nd grade I have noticed her taste drifting from kittens and ponies to cool patterns. It definitely feels weird and one more reminder that my little girl is growing up.
We were sent the Junior Backpack flower print, which is just one style of the 3 that MadDog Gear makes.
The backpack is a little small for her 47 inch, 42lb frame but we were able to tighten up the shoulder straps all the way up and it made for a good fit, then we just tied up the hanging straps. The shoulder straps are perfectly padded for comfort and also have reflective accents for visibility which I love.
There are two main compartments, a front compartment for quick access, a side pocket and a side mesh pocket for a water bottle. I see the front area being used for year book money, field trip money, and notes for the teacher so they don’t get lost or ruined in the main text book area.
One of the two storage areas had a organization system that is perfect for Makenna’s scissors, pencils, markers, and glue sticks. I’m sure if the back pack lasts a couple years that it’ll be great for maybe a future cell phone and other “older kid” stuff.
So far I see this bag being great for the school year and I could see it lasting a couple school years unlike Makenna’s last back pack which barely lasted through 1st grade.
At only $19.99-$29.99 I think it’s an amazing deal and one that I’m sure won’t last since they are on sale right now.
But wait, Coleman and MadDog Gear has agreed to give away ONE backpack to a lucky reader. You can choose from one of the below choices which are from their Junior backpack collection and Skater backpack collection.
