The time has come – potty training time. Kendall is 2.1 years old and I’m ready, as is she. From the moment I got the Loo by Joovy and set it up she instantly kept asking for me to take her diaper off.
The Joovy Loo combines contemporary styling with watertight cleanliness to give you the most functional potty on the market.
The Loo is full assembled when it arrives in the box. There are just two parts to this potty seat – the non-slip base and the removable bowl. The Loo is designed with only two parts that fit cleanly together with no nooks or crannies for spill overs to get trapped.
I love the compact and simple design. At just 8″ high and 13.25″ round it’s perfect for the narrow guest bathroom. We have yet to actually see… anything in the Loo but, I can appreciate the large splash guard around the back of the potty and the no-touch grab handle in the front.
We have two other styles of potties in the house, one being a chair that sits on top of the regular toilet and the other is another freestanding potty chair. Neither has been Kendall approved by any means. She avoids both at any cost and cries when I ask her to sit down and try to go potty.
Kendall absolutely loves the Loo and at every chance she gets will sit on it, even though she hasn’t done her business in it yet. That’s the next step in our potty training journey but I’m so glad we at least have a potty chair that she is happy with.

Ooo! This potty looks great! My son is 2.5 and wants nothing to do with the potty – but I think it may have to do with what TYPE of potty we are using. I’ll have to look for this one!
Yeah I definitely think it has to do with the potty. Like I said, Kendall wanted nothing to do with the other 2 potty chairs we have but this one she likes. She has used it twice now!
This looks great! The one we currently have for my son I am SO tired of tripping over, it has a lid and it’s a pain to do so we just use it as a step stool. I’d love this for my daughter , still have a while before potty training as she is only 11 months but enjoyed the review and will look into the Joovyloo soon i’m sure, I love Joovy products!
Love all of the creative new stuff Joovy has been coming out with. This doesn’t look to “kiddy” and would make for a good transition to the toilet!
I’m so glad our potty training days are over…that looks like a cool potty chair though.
I like that the Joovy Loo has no frills. Pottys with bells and whistles make potty time too much of a game.
looks like a great seat to get her started
This little Loo is so adorable! Good luck to you!
I have heard so much about this brand! That’s an interesting potty chair.
Good luck with potty training!
Thank you!!
I tried a couple days ago but it was just too crazy. I think I need to tackle it when my oldest goes back to school so K won’t have that distraction.
So so cute! That looks like a good one.
Oooh potty training!! We have a little time before we have to think about this – good luck!
That’s a cute loo.
She’s so cute. Love the kitty.
Your daughter is so beautiful, just like Mommy!
Is that an Aristocat?
Wow, training potties have come a long way since my boys were little.
I wish I had heard of these when my kids were potty training. Sounds like a great product.
We LOVE Joovy products and own quite a few! Hopefully my nephew will be a great Loo reviewer in due time, until then, it’s great to see K loves it and is doing well
Oh my gosh she is just to cute! Great review.
Thanks April!
I am going to have to remember this for our second one.
Love it!
Love it! I will need to get one for my little guy that I want to start potty training soon – he will be two in a month!
Potty chairs have come a long way since the 90′s
What a neat looking seat!! She is adorable!
How cute! We’ll be needing one of these soon.
She is adorable.
We are about 6 months out from potty training but I will keep this in mind.
Aw, she is so cute. My Little guy is still using the underside of the Loo as a drum right now
Great review! She’s so adorable.
Good luck! I don’t think it’s anyone’s favorite part of childhood, but it’s nice when you find a great seat like that.
Looks like a good one. I’m glad my kids are past needing that.
I am so relieved to be done with potty training. This looks like a great seat to use though for those that are potty training their little ones.
We’re going to be starting that in our place soon too… looks like a very kid friendly (and mom friendly) seat.
Looks like a great potty! Good luck with the training!
So glad I’m done with potty-training but that little seat looks much better than the little seat I had with my children.
Oh my gosh, love the smiley face
Lol. Thanks. Nothing was actually showing but you never know w/ some people out there…
Yeah — I’m always hesitant with pics I put online (and I blog about my kids quite a bit) because there are just so many unbelievable people out there…. makes my heart sick.
Awwww it’s potty time! I’m looking forward to the kiddos but not the potty cleaning. LOL!
