I’ve been heavily talking to my husband since my recent post on cord blood banking and thinking about our next baby. I’m not even sure when that next baby will come but since it can be a little expensive I figured we better start saving now.
Through cord blood banking, you can collect and preserve potentially lifesaving stem cells. And, doing so could one day save the life of your child or a close family member (blood relative). You can bank even more stem cells by collecting them from 2 usable sources of stem cell-rich blood: the umbilical cord and the placenta. This service is called Placental and Cord Blood Banking, and it’s available only from LifebankUSA. Whether you choose Placental and Cord Blood Banking or cord blood banking alone, there are many important reasons to choose LifebankUSA.
Physicians have treated more than 20,000 patients worldwide with cord blood stem cells through a process called hematopoietic reconstitution (the reformation of blood cellular components).1 And that’s just part of the story. Stem cells are also being studied in an emerging medical field called regenerative medicine.* This groundbreaking medical field involves repairing or replacing damaged tissues and organs and restoring their critical functions.*,2,3 Stem cells found in cord blood are being investigated for use in type 1 diabetes,4 spinal cord injury,5 Parkinson’s disease,6 cerebral palsy,6 muscular dystrophy,7 stroke,6,8 and many other diseases.
After doing more research I found that through LifebankUSA you can get payments as low as $52.17 a month which I think it great.
I think we’ve decided we’ll do the cord blood and placenta blood for baby #3. Now all we need is the baby!

We looked into Cord Blood banking but for us it was just too much money. I think it’s great idea though. If we could afford it we would!
We were planning to bank, but had an unplanned c-section and couldn’t. Good luck with #3.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to afford to do this, but I wish I would have known that we can donate. That is something that should be an option and promoted by the hospitals so it can help others.
Smart choice for you and your family!
I wanted to blood bank but the cost is so huge. WE donated instead and hope that it will help someone. I think if its so helpful they should just donate all of them we could find cures for things and help so many people
It’s such a good idea! That’s good that you two have decided in advance.
This is amazing to me. Wish it were more affordable! I’m doing placenta encapsulation this time around to help with PPD.
I think it’s a wonderful option for those that can afford the monthly fee. $52/month is much lower than it was during my first pregnancy, 9 years ago!
I always find this topic fascinating.
There was so much confusion with my placenta and cord blood as they thought I had a fever. My doctor couldn’t even donate mine. They later realized I just had a fever because of my body temperature rising from labor. So upsetting.
Such an interesting topic. Thanks for sharing.
It was never talked about a lot when my boys were born, so unfortunately, we never had it done.
Glad I’m beyond all of this.
I wanted to bank my cord blood with both my babies but it was sooo expensive at the time. $52/month is much more affordable!
We were fortunate that the hospital I delivered in had a free cord blood banking program.
I wanted to do it with my babies but it always so expensive … we should have planned ahead … very good idea!
We did cord blood banking and I don’t regret it at all. It’s peace of mind, that’s for sure.
I definitely think cord blood banking is such a great thing to do if you can swing it.
Sounds like easy payments!
That really isn’t that expensive.
We donated the cord blood with both of ours.
I really wish we could afford this.
It’s nice to see a more affordable option for cord blood banking.
I read something about this previously. It seems like a great option especially with so much stem cell research going on.
Good luck with baby #3
Thank you
Wow this sounds pretty interesting!
I wish I had done that for my son.
This is something I really wanted to do with my last baby, financially, it just didnt happen. I think it is a wonderful program and hope in the future they will be doing it as a routine procedure
