Useful advice for busy moms

It doesn’t matter if a mom works 40 hours a week at an office or stays at home, she is always working. Every mother faces the challenge of prioritizing their time so that they can meet all their responsibilities. No one ever said being a mom was an easy job!

It is absolutely critical that mothers streamline and simplify their daily lives. This way, they can really have it all. Though there is no surefire way to balance and budget your time, there are some tips and tricks that can make it a little easier on every mom out there. Read on to find some tips that might help simplify the daily routine and make a little extra time for mom.

Everything has its place

Many moms are constantly tripping over shoes and toys, losing school library books, and running late because they just can’t find their keys. One way to make the morning routine go a little smoother is to institute a system in the house where everything has its place. That means shoes in the cubby by the front door, car keys on the hook in the kitchen, and backpacks on the back of the bedroom door. This way, mom won’t be running around looking for everything at the last moment every morning.

Be prepared

Getting things ready in the morning can be really hectic, especially with young children. So, what’s a mother to do? The secret to success is to be prepared. Basically, the more a person can do in advance to prepare for the next task at hand, the better. It is never a good idea to cram too many things into a short period of time. Moms should set out the next day’s clothing the night before (for everyone), wake up before the kids, and plan to arrive everywhere at least 15 minutes early.

Stockpile key gear

There are some things moms just can’t live without. Things like toilet paper, baby wipes, a change of clothes, diapers, and toys are essential in daily life. It’s helpful to stash these things in important places like the bathroom, car, or office. Kids can have an accident, make a mess, or get bored in no time – be prepared!

Never give up sleep

One thing that most mothers sacrifice is sleep, and they shouldn’t. While uninterrupted sleep may be a thing of the past, moms shouldn’t put off going to bed just to finish up a menial task that can be done in the morning. That may conflict with the idea of preparing things in advance, but that’s where prioritization comes in. Think about what the task is and decide if it can wait.

Streamline household chores

Another key to success as a mom is to streamline the housework as much as possible. Unless a mom hires a really good maid service, household chores likely take up a lot of time. There is no reason to spend hours upon hours cleaning each week. Here are some simple ways to streamline the household chores:

• Keep cleaning implements in every bathroom, the laundry room, and in the kitchen.
• Use comforters instead of blankets to make the bed more easily.
• Organize the housecleaning into different tasks for different days to balance the time.
• Get rid of clutter.
• Get the kids to help!

This is an awesome set up. I struggle every day to keep organized between bills, the kids’ rooms, laundry, preschool activities, etc. I am showing this to my husband, so we can see if we have room to set something like this up in our house.

My best advice is to take a little time to keep up on chores and cleaning everyday, rather than letting things pile up which can become overwhelming!!
